The Problem
Every summer, thousands of students scramble to find housing for internships. Every winter break, apartments sit empty while students pay rent on places they're not using. And when students try to sublet on existing platforms, they often end up dealing with strangers who don't understand student life.
We've all heard the horror stories: damaged apartments, missed payments, parties that got out of hand. The problem isn't subletting—it's subletting to people you can't trust.
What if you could only sublet to other verified students from top universities? People who have as much to lose as you do if things go wrong?
Our Solution
Roomeru is a housing marketplace exclusively for verified students at top universities. Every user must sign up with their .edu email from a partner institution—no exceptions.
This creates a network of trust. When you sublet your apartment to a fellow MIT student or rent from a Stanford grad student, you know you're dealing with someone who values their academic standing and reputation.
